In early spring, when the last snowdrifts were just beginning to melt, and the air was already filled with the aromas of awakening nature, Darinka’s family decided to go for a walk. Their small cozy house in the picturesque village of Transcarpathia was literally buried in the greenery of gardens. But for the girl’s parents, one of the most favorite places was the famous Valley of Narcissus.

– Darinochka, dress warmly, we’re going for a walk in the Valley! – the mother called, braiding her daughter’s long braid.

– Hooray! I love daffodils so much! – the girl exclaimed joyfully, jumping up and down with delight.
